About this Human Library
What if experienced colleagues were like books. You could just pick them up for a moment, learn about a topic and put it back. ...and walk to another book and learn some more? This is the concept of our Human Library!
We want to offer you as a relatively new employee in a teaching role the opportunity to meet multiple fellow lecturers across faculties and discuss those topics relevant to you. Will it be on diversity and inclusion? How to activate your students? Or just want to know more about topics such as productive failure, reflection or retention? We will make sure that we have enough books and that they are fresh and dust-free.
About Masterclass Problem Solving
As part of the event we also offer an optional Masterclass Problem Solving. The aim of the Masterclass is to enhance your toolbox to handle difficult situations in the classroom/supervising setting. For example how to handle a student that is not participating in group work, or a student who is not making progress in their individual project or a student who is repeatedly distracted during a lecture. The Masterclass is aimed at colleagues relatively new in a teaching role and is hosted by experienced UTQ trainers. You can register for the Masterclass separately, places are limited to 30, first come, first serve!
