Inaugural lecture Oded Cats

On June 28, Oded Cats, professor of Passenger Transport Systems, will give his inaugural lecture: ’Mind the gaps: Future-proofing passenger transport’.

From our daily urban trip to our occasional European journey, passenger transport systems could potentially contribute to a more efficient, sustainable and equitable alternative. The gap between the vision and reality is too often all too evident. If a future-proofed passenger transport system is the desired destination then how can we get there and what gaps do we need to address? In this talk, examples concerning these gaps for passenger transport systems of different types (from micro-mobility to mass transport), scales (from urban to continental) and geographies will be presented.
