Where : Aula, Auditorium
For Whom : All TU Delft Staff and students
To celebrate Diversity Day on 3 October, DEWIS is organising an event during the annual Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Week (3-6 October 2023) at TU Delft. Through this event, we would like to draw attention to achieving full and effective participation and equal leadership opportunities at all levels of decision-making for men and women at TU Delft.
It promises to be an exciting and interesting afternoon, including contributions from: Ivy Koopmans, programme leader Diversity and Inclusion at the Social and Economic Council (SER) and Babette Pouwels, owner of Pouwels research & consultancy agency. Ivy Koopmans and Babette Pouwels will guide us through the world of gender diversity in business. The SER helps companies make their organisations more diverse. The SER is developing a diversity portal, which will include information on the ingrowth quota and targets, and provides recommendations on how to increase diversity in your organisation.
In a panel discussion that includes Nitesh Bharosa, professor and Faculty Diversity Officer in the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM), Just Herder, professor in the Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering (3mE) and member of the Council of Professors, Marije Severs, Policy Advisor Diversity and Inclusion at TU Delft and Babette Pouwels, owner of research & advice bureau Pouwels, we will explore what our university can learn from business.
In a light-hearted performance, theatre company PLANKGAS will demonstrate the richness and challenges of combining work and caregiving responsibilities. In several tailor-made sketches, we will experience what this looks like at TU Delft.
