On the 22nd of April we hosted an entry level hands on workshop on the topic of 3D printing!
Information
The contents of the workshop will roughly look like this:
- Theory: Why 3d print? Methods of 3D printing. Basic principles of FDM printing.
- Design for 3D printing: Design guidelines and considerations to design products that can be (FDM) printed.
- Intermission: Examples, thingiverse, and how to pick premade models.
- Briefly 3D modelling. We expect participants to have at least a bit of experience here. We can link to beginner courses. But it is needed for the exercises.
- Preparing Gcode: CAM guidelines and considerations
