Design and development of LVDC cables

In this thesis, the characteristics of the LVDC cables are formulated based on the outcomes from the sensitivity, stability and short circuit analysis performed on the two distribution system models in which LVDC cables are incorporated as lines. The dynamic LVDC distribution systems utilized for these analyses are namely neighbourhood and ship distribution systems and it is modelled through the state space approach.
