Optimal revenue strategies for hybrid power plants in the Dutch wholesale energy market

This research proposed a a Mixed Integer Linear Optimization dispatch to maximize the profits earned in the Dutch wholesale energy market by a hybrid power plant with non-controllable energy sources and a Lithium-iron battery Energy Storage System. The optimized dispatch was contrasted with a price benchmark-based non-optimized strategy. The optimized dispatch performed better in every aspect, including total revenue earned and the economic outlook of the plant.
