"To be honest there were days when I didn’t feel like showing up or thought my time could be better spent doing something else but, in the end, taking moments to focus on my well-being always pays off."

At X...

...you will most often find me behind the front desk working as a Host. Next to this I am enjoying creating and facilitating mental well-being workshops and since Q2 these have also been taking place at X.

hii (@we.say.hii)...

...is a student initiative which started from the idea of combining creative facilitation methods with positive psychology as a way to start conversations about how we are doing. Since then, hii has kept on growing: we welcomed four new lovely facilitators into our team and have expanded to reach students across campus. We noticed that many students do want to work on their mental health and connect with others but are missing a comfortable and open environment to do so. That is why hii is run by and for students. In a peer-to-peer group setting hii workshops offer a low-key and safe space to explore topics related to mental health together.

Participants say...

....that they really value the time and opportunity to share, learn from each other and come up with their own actionable steps for going forward. You don’t need to have a ‘problem’ to join a workshop, nor do you need to try and find all the ‘solutions’. Rather, with hii we simply hope to normalise talking about mental health in our everyday. X is a great place to do just this: you can sign up for a hii workshop ‘tickethour’ whenever you feel like unwinding, getting to know some new people or just want a good chat!

Today it’s World Compliment Day....

...Just like saying how we’re really doing, we often shy away from giving (and receiving) compliments. As a host and a hii facilitator I think acknowledging and celebrating the tiny things is so important. So, embrace feeling vulnerable and go for it - you might just make someone’s day!
