Rebranding X: a new direction (update: April Fool's Day)

Dear X Community, 

We have an exciting announcement to share with you today. In light of recent developments surrounding Twitter's name change to X, we have decided to take a new direction. As of next week, we will be rebranding ourselves as U. 

 

The decision to adopt the name U reflects our desire to distance ourselves from associations with Twitter and embrace a fresh identity that better represents our values and aspirations. U stands for celebrating individuality and every unique journey. With U, it's all about personal connections and experiences that matter. 

We want to assure you that while our name may be changing, our commitment to serving and supporting our community remains unwavering. We are excited about this new chapter and look forward to continuing our journey together with U. 

We will keep U updated about all the necessary changes and practical matters due to our name change.

We hope this April Fool's Day is treating you to some well-deserved laughs! It's time to come clean – our recent announcement about changing our name to U was all in good fun! We couldn't resist the opportunity to stir up a little mischief, but fear not – X isn't going anywhere. We're sticking with our tried-and-true name because, let's face it, we're pretty attached to it. 

We apologize if we got your hopes up or caused any confusion. Rest assured, we're still the same X you know, and we'll continue to be here for you, prank or no prank.
