A very important theme in my career is the basic idea that the internet and data can benefit society in an unprecedented way if we use them correctly. The PVE project empowers the public to voice their ideas and opinions in a way that helps them understand the constrains and dilemma’s policy makers face when making decisions. This 2-way engagement helps on different levels to a better understanding and allows for the public to influence policy in a direct and constructive way. I understood the power of PVE from the start and have committed myself to help shape and build this tool with the hope that it will impact not only the actual outcome of policy making but also helps create a culture where policy makers find it normal to include the public opinion.
