Ir. B.W. (Brendon) de Raad

Profile

Brendon de Raad holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from TU Delft. Currently he works on the integration of heat pumps in the energy intensive industry as a part of a PhD project and his work at research centre Sustainable Port Cities.

Research

Heat pumps are regarded as one of the main technologies to help reduce our carbon footprint in the near future. Despite the estimates that this technology will play a significant role, large scale implementation is still uncommon. In trying to accelerate the adaptation, his current work focusses on developing methods to identify implementation hotspots and selecting specific technologies and configurations. In this process the emphasis is on the effect of uncertain technical-economic factors on the suggested solution.
