I see a tertiary source (e.g. Wikipedia) instead of a primary source that I would've expected (scientific article). Why is this?
Turnitin’s algorithm will look for the source that is most likely to have been used by the student. The algorithm decides this based upon multiple factors, like upload date of the source and how available the source is. You can see alternative sources by clicking on Sources, then selecting the source you want to see alternatives to and click View Other Sources.
You can also view a list of all sources found by clicking Sources and then selecting Show overlapping sources.
