How to do test result analyses
Why
Test result analyses help you to find the answer to the following questions:
- To what extent to my students master the individual learning objectives? This helps you to adjust the rest of your course or to improve next year’s course.
- What was the quality of the individual (sub)questions or criteria? This will help you adjust the answer model / grading per criteria for this group of students, and improve the questions and course for next year.
- What was the quality and difficulty of my assessment as a whole? This will help you decide if you need to adjust the grades as a whole.
Guiding principles
The main quality requirements for assessment are validity, reliability and transparency.
