Biography

Rention was born in Albania, but grew up in Greece. His hometown in Greece, is Neapoli Lakonias, and he moved in Patras to start his academic career in 2014. He attended the integrated master’s program of the Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Department of the University of Patras. In his Diploma thesis he focused on the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations, as well as the energy equation, using OpenFOAM for cold plasma related purposes. He graduated in 2019, and then he joined the MSc program of the same department related to Power Systems. In his M.Sc. thesis he focused on the fluid modeling of Hydrogen plasmas. He graduated in the September of 2020, and next month he started his Ph.D. in TU Delft, and specifically the Aerospace Engineering Faculty. In his Ph.D. he occupies with the Computational Fluid Dynamics, and more precisely, the coupling of Eulerian and Lagrangian methods, for the simulation of wind turbine and propellers problems.  He is very enthusiastic with science and technology. Apart from that, he also loves travelling, watching and playing sports and board games.
