Profile
Biography
Kifayath is currently a PhD candidate in the River Engineering group of the Department of Hydraulic Engineering. He has a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and a master's degree in Oceanography and Coastal Sciences from Louisiana State University (LSU). His master's research involved field observation of flow structures in the channelized and unchannelized outflow zone in river-dominated deltas. During his stay in the US, he also worked as a research assistant in the coastal hydrology and hydrodynamics lab at LSU.
Projects
Kifayath’s project is part of the research program Rivers2Morrow, of the National Research and Innovation Programme on Water and Climate (NKWK), funded by Rijkswaterstaat and DGWB.
