The 62 maps sheets of the topographical military map of the Kingdom of the Netherlands were produced between 1850 and 1864. At the time, this map (scale 1: 50,000) received great praise on account of its beautiful design, completeness and reliability. Thanks to the amount of detail put into this historical map, it is a great source of information for the study of 19th-century, pre-industrial Dutch landscape.
