Lara van der Poll

My name is Lara van der Poll and as of February 2023 I am working as a PhD student in the OM group under supervision of Tom Savenije. Previously, I obtained a bachelor degree in Molecular Science & Technology from Leiden University and TU Delft followed up by a master in Chemical Engineering here in Delft.  

My work is part of a consortium consisting of HyET solar, TNO (Solliance), TU Eindhoven and TU Delft. The project aims to implement perovskite absorber layers in the existing Powerfoil architecture developed by HyET solar. Mostly, my work will focus on the structure, charge dynamics and stability of the perovskites of both samples made from solution processes and (hybrid)-vacuum based processes. Besides, I will work on the development of evaporation strategies to obtain perovskite thin films with various bandgaps in collaboration with PVMD group at EWI of TU Delft. Among others, microwave (TRMC/SSMC) and X-ray (XRD/XPS) based techniques will be employed to carry out this research.
