Thanos Papageorgiou

Postdoctoral researcher

Thanos studied Chemistry in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he also did his MSc in physical chemistry. In 2017, he moved to the UK to do his PhD in chemical engineering in Lancaster University. His PhD thesis focused on the development of physicochemical sensor for the radioactive element technetium (Tc), by means of adsorption in selective organic ligands and metal-organic thin films. He started his postdoc at the TU Delft from January 2023 working on developing anion exchange membrane for alkaline membrane water electrolysis.
