Effects of scaffolds/topographies on the migration of cells spheroids
Tumor metastasis is a complex process in which the tumor cells migrate from an initial site to distant organs/tissues of the body via blood circulation. The physical and biochemical properties of the tumor microenvironment have been determined to influence the metastasis of cancer cells. However, not much is known about how the architecture of the extracellular matrix (ECM) controls the dissemination of tumor spheroids. As a post-doctoral researcher at Boukany’s group, I am studying the migration of cancer cells in 3D-printed microstructures.
