Mass Spectrometry Facility

The Mass Spectrometry Facility of the Department of Biotechnology enables microbial proteomics experiments on cell cultures, enrichments, and microbial communities (the latter requires additional whole metagenome sequencing data). Furthermore, the facility has a strong background in quantitative microbial metabolomics and analytics of compounds such as carbohydrates and oligosaccharides.

The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art Orbitrap Mass Spectrometers (Thermo) and GC-MS instruments (Agilent).
