In 2023, I obtained my Master’s degree in Biological Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal, specializing in computer science as a minor. Throughout my academic journey, I have been interested in bridging biological data with computational methodologies and algorithms. Motivated by this interdisciplinary interest, I have started a Ph.D. at the Delft Bioinformatics Lab, under the supervision of Prof. Joana Gonçalves. My research is placed within the iCELL Flagship project, focusing on the analysis of single-cell data patterns. With this analysis, I hope to increase our comprehension of cancer-related mechanisms, with a specific focus on DNA damage repair mechanisms.
