As the days grow shorter and the weather turns colder, we could all use some extra warmth. This fall, let's prioritize ourselves and lift our spirits! And what better way to do that than by joining us on Thursday October 10th for World Mental Health Day! To celebrate this important day, X has lined up a series of special workshops and programs just for you. Get ready to recharge, connect, and thrive—because you deserve it.
18:30 - 21:15 | The Science and Practices for Balancing Your Mind
Join us for an enriching workshop with Dr. Felipe Bernal Arango, a physicist and certified teacher of Cultivating Emotional Balance (CEB). This evidence-based program, created by Dr. Alan Wallace and Prof. Dr. Paul Ekman at the request of H.H. the Dalai Lama, is designed to boost your well-being through a combination of scientific knowledge on emotions and meditative practices.
In this introductory session you'll explore how emotions shape our lives and discover practical tools to better manage them, helping you find inner balance, improve emotional regulation, and enhance communication. Whether you're seeking how to manage stress, feelings of burnout, more meaning in life or better emotional control, this workshop offers valuable skills to support your personal growth and bring lasting positive change in your life.
This workshop consists of:
1. Introduction to emotions and the four balances/intelligences in Cultivating Emotional Balance
2. Short Shamatha (attentional balance meditation)
3. Short intro: How to identify emotions in yourself and others
4. End with a loving kindness meditation
