Going Dutch: Cooking, Games and Art

19 September 2024 18:00 till 22:30 - By: Communication | Add to my calendar

Are you an international student and are you interested in Dutch culture? Or are you a trueborn, proud Dutchie? Come learn about and celebrate this beautiful country and culture at the Going Dutch event. We have games, cooking and art for you in store!

We’ll start the evening with a ‘stamppot’ competition. Stamppot is a traditional Dutch dish made from potatoes mashed together with one or several vegetables. Stamppot can be very simple, but it can also be intricate and tasty. The best dishes of the evening may win a prize!
We will provide the basic ingredients, but feel free to bring any additional ingredients to “spice” up your stamppot.

After the stamppot competition we’ll have three different Dutch Cafes for you:
•    Dutch Masters Art Cafe in the Painting Studio
•    Dutch Language Cafe in Dance Studio B
•    Dutch Old Games Cafe in Freetown Foyer

Time line:
18:00-20:30 Stamppot competition (including dinner)
20:30-22:30 Cafes

Enrolment

You can either enrol for the stamppot competition & the cafes, or solely for the cafes! If you do not own a NetID, you can visit the host desk at X to enrol for the event.
