The fourth Alumni Network Energy Transition Event will take place at Deltares. As an independent knowledge institute, Deltares works on innovative solutions in the field of water and subsurface.
At this event, we will focus on the pivotal role of water and subsurface in the ongoing heat transition. Both water and subsurface can be used to extract heat and cooling for buildings. Due to the availability of water and due to the composition of the Dutch subsurface, both aspects are a great opportunity for the Dutch heat transition. Next to this, water and subsurface play an important role in the electricity transition by wind energy from offshore wind farms and floating solar. The effects of these transitions on the environment should be investigated in detail. The challenge is to upscale the utilisation of water and subsurface resources and to ensure a feasible spatial integration in the urban area.
TU Delft alumni are welcome to join at Deltares, Delft on Wednesday 24 January 17:00 - 21:00 hours for an evening of stimulating discussions, networking opportunities, the chance to reconnect with fellow alumni, and to share your ideas and perspectives on the energy transition. Refreshments will be served.
