Graduation project
Special program Cybersecurity
If you are following the Computer Science special program cybersecurity (include link), you can do your M.Sc. thesis within the cybersecurity group or any other computer science group. The common core courses of the special program cybersecurity sets you up for any thesis supervisor. A selection of advanced courses for a thesis topic of your preference can be discussed with the special program coordinator, dr. Stjepan Picek, and the potential thesis supervisor.
The special program requires a member of the cybersecurity group to be responsible professor for your thesis graduation. In addition, when performing your thesis outside of the cybersecurity group, your thesis does need to be on a cybersecurity topic. You will need to submit a brief description of the research plan for approval to the cybersecurity group’s M.Sc. thesis coordinator, dr. Sicco Verwer.
Regular tracks
If you are following one of the regular Computer Science tracks, you can also do your M.Sc. thesis within the cybersecurity group. In this case we highly recommend you to follow at least two out of the following four courses.
- IN4191 Security and Cryptography
- CS4035 Cyber data analytics
- CS4150 Systems Security
- ET4397IN Network Security
In assigning thesis projects and supervisors, priority will be given to students in the special program cybersecurity.
In order to help you to make further choices for your IEP in relation to the computer science track that you are following, we provide the following table.
