Theme Education
In this theme, grandparents who started their engineering degrees at TU Delft 60 years ago, are talking with their grandson, a current TU Delft student, about how teaching has changed over the years. Back then, professors used to write formulas on the board in chalk; now, more and more lecture halls are equipped with digital boards, students can follow lectures on line and interactive resources and audio-visual technology are used to disseminate course material. And there are many more students today, from all over the world. There is also a growing demand for skills such as cooperation, communication and being able to deal with unexpected and unknown situations. To overcome these challenges, TU Delft will start using different teaching methods.
