Marcel Zijlema
Profile
Cem Sevindik received his bachelor degree in Civil Engineering at TED University and master degree in Civil Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU). During his master’s degree, he took part in physical modelling studies of different research and consultancy projects. He focused on wave loads at the lee-side of a rubble-mound breakwater head in his master’s thesis study. In June 2024, he started his PhD at TU Delft Hydraulic Engineering Department within the Environmental Fluid Mechanics section. He works under the supervision of Dr. ir. Bas Hofland and Dr. Marion Tissier.
Research subjects
Cem Sevindik conducts his PhD in scope of DuneFront project and is working on determination of boundary conditions of extreme storms for the physical modelling of the selected demonstrators and coastal protection functioning of dune-dike hybrid nature based solutions (DD-Hybrid NbS). He will take part in physical and numerical modelling of the selected demonstrators.
