2011- present   The influence of the reclamation of the radial sand ridges off the Jiangsu coast, China

The radial sand ridges are located at the South Yellow Sea off the central part of Jiangsu coast. The whole field contains 70 different kinds of ridges and troughs, which spread seaward in the radial distribution and centered at the city of Jianggang. This ridge field is unique in the world because of its special distribution as well as its large scale which covers the area from the Yangtze River Estuary to the Sheyang River Estuary, stretching for 199.6 km in latitude and 140.0 km in longitude. In 2009, Chinese government made a reclamation plan about it. It is important and necessary to pay attention to the influence of this large scale reclamation on the hydrodynamic and morphodyanic of the radial sand ridges and Jiangsu coast.
