Profile
I am an Aerospace Engineer specialized in the field of earth observation from space. During my MSc thesis I worked at SRON Space Research Organization Netherlands estimating methane emission rates based on satellite observations. I started my PhD in August 2020 using InSAR technology to estimate ground subsidence in the Netherlands.
Research
I am working on the Regiodeal Groene Hart, focusing on estimating the changes in elevation over time of the Dutch peat pastures. Our aim is to quantify the subsidence rates in the Green Heart region between Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Utrecht in order to better understand its impact on the region regarding increased flooding risks and greenhouse gas emissions.
