Dutch subsurface
The subsurface of the Netherlands has been investigated in a number of projects in the past decade, and it has become a key research target for the unit. Current and future studies are related to important societal issues, such as geothermal energy, carbon sequestration, and tough gas. The unit considers the Dutch subsurface an excellent subject for the integration and application of its reservoir-geological knowledge, and for performing predictive studies relevant for society.
