Associations and societies
Within the faculty there are two study associations and a number of study societies. These associations and disputes regularly organize excursions, symposia, study tours and lectures. Look for the range of activities on the websites of the associations and disputes.
Study Associations
There are two student study associations within the faculty. These are linked to the educational programmes of Civil Engineering and Earth, Climate and Technology.
Het Gezelschap "Practische Studie"
Het Gezelschap “Practical Study” (PS) is the study association of Civil Engineering students. They organise social and study activities such as lunch lectures, social drinks, trips abroad, or the Civil Business Days, where you can get in touch with potential employers. PS also takes care of the quality of education by addressing complaints and evaluating courses together with students.
MV
The study association MV is for all students, PhD’s, alumni and employees involved in the Earth, Climate and Technology programme. Alongside study-related activities, the MV also organizes fun and relaxing activities for all these target groups. In addition, the association assists students in course evaluations and in case of complaints. The MV is very active and has its own café in the centre of Delft!
Study Societies
Below you can find our faculty's study societies. These are student groups linked to specific master programmes or research areas across various master programmes.
Earth, Climate and Technology: formerly Applied Earth Sciences
As from academic year 2025, we aim to continue the MSc programme Applied Earth Sciences under a new name: Earth, Climate and Technology. The curriculum of the programme remains the same.
When applying for this programme in Studielink, you'll still have to enrol for Applied Earth Sciences. In case of the planned name change, after the start of the new academic year in September 2025, all enrolments will be updated to the new name: Earth, Climate and Technology.
