LADM+

Revision of the ISO standard 19152:2012 Land Administration Domain Model

The second edition of the Land Administration Domain Model (LADM) is revised within ISO/TC 211 Geographic Information/Geomatics. The Committee is developing this new edition of the LADM as multipart, under the general title ‘Geographic information — Land Administration Domain Model (LADM)’, consisting of the following six parts:

  • Part 1 – Generic Conceptual Model
  • Part 2 – Land Registration
  • Part 3 – Marine Georegulation
  • Part 4 – Valuation Information
  • Part 5 – Spatial Plan Information
  • Part 6 – Implementations

Edition II will be backwards compatible with the Edition I and each part of the above mentioned is a standard in itself, so for each one the standardisation process is followed. It is noted that the importance of 3D representations is relevant for all parts, and with the revision of LADM the 3D support is further growing.
The Land Registration conceptual model will now also include: refined survey model, new subclasses of spatial unit, and extended 3D spatial profiles. The other parts are completely new conceptual models within LADM: Marine Georegulation, Valuation Information, and Spatial Plan Information. Lastly, Part 6 is planned to be about implementation of the LADM. It is noted that the importance of 3D representations is relevant for all parts, and with the revision of LADM the 3D support is further growing.
