Jubilee 50 years Industrial Design Engineering

This year, the faculty of IDE is proud to celebrate it's 50 years jubilee anniversary. Starting in 1969, we have grown into an acclaimed design research and education institute, with over 6,500 alumni. A MIT report in 2018 puts us at the forefront of innovative education worldwide.

We believe technology should be designed to improve our lives. Meanwhile, we should design organisations and systems that aid people in adaption and use of this technology. In order to truly have an impact and solve the problems we face globally, we have to match evolution of people and revolution of technology.

On 4 June we will welcome you after the plenary afternoon programme with a dinner at our faculty. You will then be treated to short lectures by Professors Bregje van Eekelen, Pieter Desmet and Deborah Nas. We will close off the evening with drinks in the ID Kafee of the ID study association.
