Jeroen van den Hoven, Keynote speaker at Het Diner

The 4th edition of Het Diner was held at the striking Depot Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam on November 16, 2023. The event brought together over 130 experts, including Prof. Jeroen van den Hoven, Professor of Ethics & Technology at Delft University of Technology. Hosted by the Economic Board Zuid-Holland (EBZ), the evening explored the pivotal role of Zuid-Holland in reshaping the Dutch economy.

The event featured discussions on pressing national challenges and the Growth Agenda Zuid-Holland, emphasizing opportunities for  innovation and renewal. Jeroen van den Hoven delivered a key note on innovation in the age of artificial intelligence. Addressing the threats and opportunities posed by AI, he underscored the need for companies to innovate responsibly.

Outgoing EBZ Chairman Jaap Smit stressed the importance of sustained collaboration with national politics and  government. Ludo Baauw, CEO of Intermax, shared the challenges and opportunities faced by his Rotterdam-based IT company, highlighting the need for trust, cooperation, and responsible choices in the ever-evolving business landscape.
