The DDEC research community got together in the beautiful Castle of Oud Poelgeest near Leiden. The Centre has gone through a period of rapid growth, so this was a wonderful opportunity to get to know the new people of the Centre. The group worked on a joint policy paper. Michael Klenk presented his work on Manipulation. Filippo presented chapters of his forthcoming book with Routledge on AI & Democracy and AI and the Future of Work. Seumas Miller visited to discuss his work on epistemic institutions and the digital society, the topic of a special issue of Ethics and Information Technology.
