TPM advises Delta Programme

Over the course of the coming months, the policy analysis section will be advising the Dutch Delta Programme on the further development of Adaptive Delta Management. Since 2010, the Delta Programme has been responsible for adapting the Dutch water management and flood risks system to climate change and sea level rise.

From the start,methods for dealing with uncertainty, developed by researchers at the policy analysis section, have formed the scientific foundations for planning in the Delta Programme. Now, 10 years later, the Delta Programme wants to update its approach in light of the experiences from practice as well as the most recent scientific insights. TPM researcher Jos Timmermans has been asked by the Delta Programme to participate in an advisory group who will report to the Delta Commissioner, Peter Glas, in November 2021.
