Boriana Rukanova wins Best Management Paper Award at Digital Government Research conference
Boriana Rukanova and co-authors Jolien Ubacht, Sélinde van Engelenburg, Yao Hua Tan, Marco Geurts, Maarten Sies, Marcel Molenhuis and Micha Slegt have won the Best Management Paper Award at the 22nd Annual International Conference on Digital Government Research DGo'21.
The paper ‘Realizing value from voluntary business-government information sharing through blockchain-enabled infrastructures: The case of importing tires to the Netherlands using TradeLens’ explores operational blockchain-enabled infrastructures implemented on a global level and how they can be used by government organisations to create value for business and government. In the paper a case study is used that examines importing tires from China to the Netherlands and the value creation processes for the tire importer and customs enabled by information sharing via the TradeLens platform.
