TU Delft signs Safety Delta Netherlands covenant for a safe (petro) chemical industry
On 5 October, the (petro) chemical industry, science and the government will sign a covenant to work together on the safest (petro) chemical industry in the world. With the Safety Delta Netherlands (SDN) covenant, the parties involved want the Netherlands to become a top region for the development and application of safety innovations in the (petro) chemical industry.
Pieter van Gelder and Genserik Reniers from the TPM faculty have been involved in the initiative since 2018. Dean Aukje Hassoldt will sign the covenant on behalf of TU Delft. Shell CEO Marjan van Loon is also one of the signatories. In total, nine parties will sign.
About the covenant
With the SDN covenant, the parties want to strengthen the relationship of trust and indicate that they want to work closely together and jointly develop, disseminate and use new knowledge to promote prevention and safety in the industry. Read more about Safety Delta Nederland (in Dutch).
