TPM graduate Chris van Langevelde- van Bergen wins Cuperus prize 2020
Chris van Langevelde - van Bergen won the Cuperus prize 2020! This price is handed out every two years for the best Master thesis report in traffic and transport in the Netherlands. Last year Chris was TPM's Best Graduate. She was supervised bij Lizet Krabbenborg and Gerdien de Vries and Eric Molin chaired the graduation committee. A paper about her research is about to be accepted in Transportation Research part A.
In her thesis, Chris investigated the public support for Tradable Peak Credits (TPC), a new road pricing policy to reduce traffic congestion. She also did research into how this support is influenced by the design of the TPC system and by other factors.
About the Cuperus Prize
The Traffic and Transport Department of the Royal Institute of Engineers KIVI, in collaboration with CROW and Royal HaskoningDHV, awards a prize once every two years for the best graduation project at a Dutch university in the field of traffic and transport. The prize consists of an amount of € 1,000 and one year of membership of KIVI.
