TPM alumnus Paul Komboi receives prestigious Order of the British Empire award
Paul Komboi, a former Engineering and Policy Analysis master’s student, was awarded the (O.B.E) Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire 2020 Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to the telecommunication and overall digitalization of the Papua New Guinea economy.
This is quite an achievement, since an O.B.E. award is the second highest ranking Order of the British Empire award. It is awarded to those who have made a great impact in their line of work.
Paul is currently CEO of telecom company PNG DataCo Limited in Papua New Guinea. In his career, he has devoted himself to putting digitization on the agenda of his home country. He was also involved in the roll-out of various telecom facilities and advised on the associated regulations and policy in Papua New Guinea.
