Maria Chiara Mazza is Best Graduate 2020 of TPM

Delft University Fund announced the eight TU Delft Best Graduates of 2020. Maria Chiara Mazza is best graduate of TPM and will vie for the prize of TU Delft Best Graduate with her thesis ‘Language Inquiry for Personalized Mental Health Chatbots’. On November 17, eight talented recently graduated engineers of the faculties will present their excellent master theses during the TU Delft Best Graduate Award Ceremony 2020.

Aukje Hassoldt: “Maria Chiara Mazza deserves this prestigious award because she is the first to put forward that students suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder use different words than mentally stable students. She also found that the language they use is influenced by their personality. Her findings can improve the practice of student counselling through the personal mental health chatbots. The scientific novelty of her findings make it publishable in a high-quality academic journal, which is truly a great achievement!”
