Aaron Ding appointed adjunct professor in computer science at University of Helsinki
TPM researcher Aaron Ding has recently been appointed adjunct professor (Dosentti) in computer science at the University of Helsinki. This appointment, a permanent academic title for Ding, significantly strengthens the academic link between TU Delft and Helsinki, especially in terms of education exchange and EU-level research collaborations.
The department of computer science at University of Helsinki is a leading research and education unit in Northern Europe. The research groups address significant research challenges in their areas of expertise, such as AI, data analytics, networking systems, security and privacy. A highlight in the contribution to the computer science field is the Linux kernel. It has been invented at the University of Helsinki from the NODES research group where Ding graduated.
