Jop Groeneweg receives Society of Petroleum Engineers award

Last week Jop Groeneweg has received the yearly SPE North Sea Regional Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Social Responsibility Award.

The Regional HSSE Award is presented for outstanding accomplishments in the field of environmental protection, health, or safety in oil and gas exploration, drilling, or production operations in the region. Groeneweg was nominated by his colleagues in the Board of SPE Netherlands. He has 35 years of experience with HSSE in Oil&Gas industry. The award is well-deserved since he had high impact with Shell to improve their worldwide HSSE track record drastically. Furthermore he is a specialist in learning from incidents and implementing safety culture and shares his knowledge in numerous SPE conferences and publications.
