Exploring the role of stations in future metropolitan areas
At the main point of intersection between the railway and the city, stations are key elements in the organisation of the intermodal transport. The new book ‘Stations as Nodes’ explores the role of stations in future metropolitan areas from a French and Dutch perspective.
The book is a joint publication between BK Bouwkunde, AMS Institute, TU Delft Deltas Infrastructure Mobility Initiative, and the University of Paris-Est. The book is edited by Manuela Triggianese, Roberto Cavallo, Nacima Baron, and Joran Kuijper.
The focus of this publication is to explore the enrichment of a renewed approach of railway stations as intermodal nodes. As such, stations can act as breeding grounds for both urban and social developments. Find the open access publication here on BK Books.
