Sixth RePAiR Consortium meeting takes place in Naples
The H2020 project Resource management in peri-urban areas (REPAiR) is approaching its near-final stage, which was tangible during the recent (6th) consortium meeting, held in Naples on May 28th and 29th.
The meeting consisted of lectures, work groups, discussions (one of which was held by our own Arjan van Timmeren) and a field trip to the Apple Academy. The two-day event was finally wrapped up in a plenary session, discussing reflections and perspectives.
The groundwork of the last years has culminated in, amongst others, an online Geo-design Decision Support Environment (GDSE) for local and regional authorities, which was tested by the consortium partners in six metropolitan areas. The general response was very positive. Seeing the complexity and data-heaviness of the project result in a transparent tool with insightful visualizations was a good run-up to the coming, final and crucial, year.
