Profile

Kexin Liang is a PhD candidate in the Data Analytics and Traffic Simulation Lab (DiTTlab) at the department of Transport & Planning. Her research is focused on modeling human cognitive interactions for automated driving. Before joining TU Delft, Kexin obtained her MSc in Control Science and Engineering and BSs in Intelligent Transport Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University. Besides, she was an exchange student in Computer Science at University of Copenhagen.

Research

Kexin’s current research aims to enhance the cooperation between in-vehicle users and automated driving systems. She investigates the control transition process over vehicles. Specifically, her research focuses on an open question: how long should automated systems provide human users for take-over tasks? To fill in several research gaps, she develops methodologies and models for the involved human cognitive interactions.
