C. (Chao) Yu
Profile
Chao Yu received a Bachelor degree in Traffic Transportation from Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), China, in 2017. In the same year, he started his PhD career supervised by Prof. Haiying Li at BJTU. Currently, as a visiting phd at TU Delft, he is doing research related to passenger behavior in metro system.
Research
His interests focus on discovering or estimating passenger‘s behavior using (big?) data in the metro system. The specific works include passenger’s route choice behavior analysis, passenger‘s traveling backward behavior estimation, joint prediction of the departure time and departure location of the passenger's next trip, mobility pattern recognition, and passenger delay prediction, etc.
