Dr. I.M. (Isabelle) Steinke
Profile
I joined TU Delft in 2023 as Assistant Professor for Climate Engineering. Previously, I was an independent research fellow at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) and a postdoctoral researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (USA) and Leipzig University (Germany). I obtained my PhD in (Atmospheric) Physics from Karlsruhe Institute Technology and Heidelberg University in 2013.
Research
My research centers around the impact that tiny aerosol particles have on the formation of clouds, and how uncertainties associated with cloud formation are driven by a changing climate. Within the TU Delft Climate Action Programme, I focus on bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives on climate engineering.
