Improving other materials with wood
In this research field, essentially the use of wood to improve the properties of other material is studied for two frameworks:
- Strengthening of concrete using wood fibres can improve its ductility and create self-healing properties. Wood and plant fibres are used and modified in order to increase the mechanical and durability performance of concrete mixtures.
- Improvement of material properties of porous asphalt concrete by means of wood fibres.
