EDI at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment
The Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment is composed of four larger departments: Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Management in the Built Environments, and Urbanism. Altogether, it is home to three thousand students, hundreds of researchers, professors, academics, teachers (of practice), and staff. The faculty has a strong international community with over 40% Master's students, 75% PhD candidates, and nearly 50% academic staff from ±40 countries. Around 59–54% of the students, 46% of PhDs, and around 40% of the total academic staff are women, although most of the latter are still in early to mid-career positions. The staff also includes a varied population of non-academic staff members including secretaries, facilities management, technicians, support staff and cleaners.
