Abstract

How to design for experiential education through boundary blurring scripted spaces & immersive technology?

The ‘Archive of Disappearing Knowledge’ aims to explore how to spatially design for ultimate knowledge acquiring, applying, exchanging and maintaining throughout an individual’s lifespan. Through the use of Artificial Serendipity, the project becomes an exploration of scripted and free spaces and their beneficial interrelation. Previously lost abilities and knowledge such as construction methods, handicraft, languages etc. are able to be learned by the immersive spaces, the computer brain. As well as re-taught to following generations, the human brain. The spaces will communicate and learn from, and with its users. Thereby addressing important issues, finding collective solutions and enhancing, sharing and retaining skills and life experiences of the users.
